The University of Freiburg awarded the 2021 University Teaching Prize for Outstanding Achievement to Prof. Thomas Filk, Andreas Woitzik and Clara Fuchs from the Institute of Physics for the lecture “Compact Advanced Theoretical Physics.”
Together with Prof. Filk, Andreas and Clara developped a theoretical physics lecture for future physics teachers using the “flipped classroom” principle: the students tested the use of digital tools for their own later teaching and were offered video explanations and online question sessions. The award comes with 10 000 EUR prize money.
